Airport Meeting Service |
Students arriving in the UK for the first time may desire to meet a college representative at the airport. Such students must inform the overseas students' liaison officer in their respective countries, information to be provided before the arrival date in the UK include: Name of the Student, Name of the airport in Britain where arriving Airline and the flight Number, Date and time of arrival, E-Mail address of friend/relative and their phone number, During weekdays, students are taken directly to the College- During weekends, they will be taken to their lodging address in London or the Halls of Residence of the College if booked well in advance. A pickup fee of £50 is collectable, from the arriving student, in advance which is non refundable |
Medical Facilities |
All overseas fee paying students are entitled to the full National Health Service (NHS), which is free of charge. Students are strongly advised to register with a general practitioner in the area in which they live; names are available from local pharmacies and post offices, or by contact ing the relevant health authority (see local telephone directory or Yellow Pages). |
Sports & Fitness |
| There is a modern sports centre within a 10 minutes walk from the College campus. Sports competitions for Swimming. Table Tennis, Badminton, Volley Ball and Football, etc., are being held in the nearby Leisure Centre quite frequently. The professional service of the club includes fitness assessment, exercise prescription, injury rehabilitation, feelings, and works with students to develop resources and skills to manage difficulties more effectively. It is a confidential service. |
Visa Extensions |
| To continue further studies at the College students should submit their passports to the Admissions Officer to enable us to apply for a visa extension on their behalf, strictly as per UK Home Office regulations. The liaison officer looks after all correspondence with regard to the Home Office matters in the UK. |
PC & Internet facilities |
The majority of the College's computing resources are based around personal computers running Microsoft NT Workstation; Apple Macintosh and UNIX workstations are also available. The equipment used will be appropriate to the levels required to support professional. research and postgraduate work as well as undergraduate courses. Behind the scenes an extensive number of UNIX, NT and Novell Servers support the desktop systems; these servers provide file space, mail. Web, backup, intranet and Internet services. A wide range of software is available including desktop PC packages, web publishing, numerous language compilers, statistical packages, and database management and graphics packages.
