Our General English Language Course is a full-time course and takes place all year round here at London Millennium College – so you can begin anytime!

The course comprises 20 classes per week from Monday to Friday from 9.20am-1.00pm with a short break for tea/coffee/soft drinks at 11am.

The course caters for students with elementary – advanced levels of English and students are given a level test to ensure they are in the right class for their level.

While the classes cover general English grammar, speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, the special focus of all our courses is to get students speaking English successfully. Up to 50% of the class is devoted to getting students to speak and to practise what they are learning.

Teachers usually give practise and advice on writing curriculum vitae and performing in job interviews once a week.

Class sizes are restricted to a maximum of 10 students per class so that students get full teacher attention and maximum of opportunity to practise speaking English with the teacher and other students. The average class size during the year is often only 5/6.

Students receive an end-of-course certificate of attendance stating the level of English achieved and the number of hours attended on their course.

Each Monday students receive an outline of what they will learn that week and each Friday they receive a quick review and assessment by their teacher in order to monitor their class level and progress.

Friday coffee mornings- on Fridays, all students go for coffee at midday with all the teachers and student in a local bar or café where they can practise their spoken English in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Course certificates are presented at this gathering to students who are leaving that week.

All students on our General English are welcome to full use of all our facilities.

There is no course registration fee or course-booking fee.
