Entry Requirements |
Care Assistants working in residential, nursing and learning and physical disability homes. No formal qualifications required, although candidates must be employed in this area of care and have basic literacy and oral communication skills
Duration & Format
There will be 10 one-day workshops. The sessions will be based around the candidate’s prior and existing experiences. Candidates will be expected to participate fully in group work and discussions. Completion is expected within a 9-12 month period |
Assessment Guidelines |
| A qualified Work Based Assessor from London Millennium College will assess the skill and competence in the workplace. |
NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care |
| A nationally recognised and flexible qualification from OCR an Awarding Body that enables candidates to have a qualification that relates directly to their supervisory caring role within the care establishment. The candidate must be in employment that will enable them to obtain evidence reflecting on their knowledge and experience. The course will enhance their personal growth and development and so undertake their role with greater confidence. On completion the candidate may gain admission to various other occupations in care and be a valued member of a care team. |
