OCR Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care
Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care
Introduction
The aim of this NVQ in Health and Social Care is to deliver competence based training, relating directly to the National Occupational Standards, which have been developed jointly by Skills for Care and Development and Skills for Health. This training enables staff in the health and social care sectors to be competent and skilled at delivering the quality services of care and support, as required by the Commission for Social Care and Inspections. This ensures that people who use these services are receiving the most effective level of support, enabling them to lead a more independent life.
Who is it for?
This NVQ in Health and Social Care, at Level 4, offers progression for learners who wish to work in supervisory and managerial roles within the care sector. Also, it is suitable for managers already in post who are working in the wide range of care settings for adults such as hospitals, residential care homes. Equally, it is applicable for domiciliary care providers who work with adults as full or part time workers and volunteers.

Progession

There are many career opportunities in social work and other health and social care related professions. Hence, if appropriate, it is possible for learners to achieve a number of relevant units at Level 4 to suit their changing job roles.
